middle level state honors music project

“Preparing for the WSMA Middle Level Honors Project audition is a sure way to boost your students’ musical skills. My students are proud to be chosen to audition and work diligently to prepare their solos and sharpen their sight-reading ability. The ensemble class component is often their favorite part of the audition. The audition process is a great experience, regardless of whether or not the student is accepted into a performing group. Being accepted is frosting on the cake.”

Lynn Seidl

–Luxemburg-Casco Middle School director

The effort and commitment of the teach- ers and the WSMA staff who work on the Middle Level Honors Project, along with the dedicated student musicians who audition and perform in the concert, make this project truly exceptional for the 309 students selected.

“The WSMA Middle Level Honors Project provides the students an experience like no other. From preparing for the audition to the final performance, students have the opportunity to share their music and develop new friendships that will last them a lifetime. This project is one of the finest experiences for young musicians.”

Pat Pollock – Chequamegon High School
