Recognizing Teacher Service (25-Year Recognition)

Wisconsin Music Educators Association is proud to recognize the following Wisconsin Teachers for 25 years of service. These teachers have cultivated a love of music in their students. The musical experiences they have shared have touched the lives of students and community members alike. On behalf of the students and communities they serve, congratulations and thank you for your dedication to music education.

Here are a few of the teachers’ proudest moments…

“My proudest moment was having my bands at the dedication ceremonies of the World War II Memorial in Washington D.C. in 2004. It meant a great deal to me to be able to honor the ‘greatest generation’ and to see my students take such an interest in a series of performances.”

“Band membership demands attention, perseverance, cooperation, respect and responsibility in students of all ages. It has been my greatest honor to have been a part of this character development through music.”

“The honor and privilege of being able to share and make music with the students of the Denmark School District for 33 years is what I am proud of.”

“I completed my M.M.Ed. back in 1985 and couldn’t be prouder!”

“The greatest honor I was afforded were the two times I was asked to present at the MENC national conferences. I am most proud to see my elementary students continue with their music study, several whom have become music teachers and performers later in life.”

“I am proud to be recognized by my peers when I can provide them assistance and leadership in music education.”

“I received the Honorable Award for Teachers... I was designated by a past student who wrote about how music affected his life from what he had learned through my instruction.”
