of Wisconsin projects. On the last day they traveled to Capitol Hill to visit the offices of four Wisconsin lawmakers and speak with their assistants about music education and how it fits into the school day. It was interesting to note that every one of the four young assistants immediately bright-

ened up when asked about their own music education. They had all studied one or two instruments through high school and one had studied all the way through college. It was clear that the power of music study can be used to help leadership connect with our hopes for the future.
