Chitwan National Park

NEPAL & BEYOND

Beyond the trekking trails of the Himalayas, the national parks at Chitwan and Bardia offer sanctuary to a mix of wildlife, including Asian elephant, tiger and rare one-horned rhino.

CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK Chitwan lies in Nepal’s subtropical lowlands, in an area of alluvial flood plains and sal forest. From elephant back you may spot the one-horned rhino and the rare Royal Bengal Tiger.

TIGERLAND SAFARI RESORT, CHITWAN

NEW Located amongst 20 acres of private land along the edge of Chitwan, Tigerland Safari Resort offers 32 individual deluxe

villas overlooking the Rapti River. Tastefully appointed and built on stilts, the thatched villas are constructed from sustainable materials and all come with spacious bathrooms, air conditioning and jungle views.

BARDIA NATIONAL PARK Located in the western Terai, Bardia is one of the largest and least explored wilderness areas in Nepal. Accessible by air from Kathmandu, the park has a rich diversity of ecosystems, providing a haven for one- horned rhino, wild Asian elephant and Royal Bengal tiger.

BEYOND NEPAL Nepal provides an ideal gateway into the Himalayas. The fascinating kingdom of Bhutan is just a short flight away, whilst Tibet and the Sikkim region of northern India are easily accessible by road or air. A suggested extension is our Timeless Tibet itinerary (see right).
