DAY 5 – Agra Drive to Agra. Overnight at the Gateway Hotel. Afternoon tour of Agra Fort and the stunning Taj Mahal.
DAYS 6/7 – Khajuraho Train and drive via Orchha. 2 nights at the Hotel Chandela. Explore the Khajuraho temples.
DAYS 8 to 10 – Bandhavgarh National Park Drive to Bandhavgarh. 3 nights at Tiger Den Resort. Game drives with excellent chances of spotting tigers.
DAYS 11 to 13 – Kanha National Park Drive to Kanha. 3 nights at Chitvan Jungle Lodge. Game activities in this ‘Project Tiger’ Reserve.
KAZIRANGA NATIONAL PARK A World Heritage Site and right on the river, Kaziranga National Park is a magnificent expanse of swamps and grasslands that boast an astonishing diversity of animal and birdlife, including Indian one-horned rhino, elephant and a phenomenal collection of birds of prey. Kaziranga can be visited as part of a Brahmaputra cruise itinerary or pre-cruise where a 2 night stay at Diphlu River Lodge is recommended.
SATPURA NATIONAL PARK Satpura offers a rare glimpse of an India where the tiger still reigns supreme. A hypnotic landscape of deep gorges and deciduous forests, Satpura provides excellent safari encounters, along with an opportunity to experience a unique walking safari – the only one of its kind in India – in the heart of tiger country.
