Eminent Gets Bigger Rexburg, Idaho
Steadily expanding in size for 11 years, Eminent Hi-Fi recently added 1,300 square feet to bring its total space to 3,600 square feet, includ- ing a new installation bay, a woodshop and additional showroom space. The Rexburg, Idaho-based retailer’s growth is attributable to its promi- nent location on a main thoroughfare and the aggressive promotions, said owner Joey Schultz. One such sale was the Black Friday promotion, which the store began in 2009 and has been very popular. Sales have been white hot and this June has been of the biggest in the store’s history. Still, Schultz maintains that higher sales volume don’t change the personal attention each customer gets at Eminent Hi-Fi. “We spend a little extra time with people to discuss why they want to use a cer- tain product,” he said. Anticipating more high-end business, one of the shop’s new bays will have a unique tile floor. “It will hopefully get people to buy more high-end product,” Schultz said. The work to expand the shop should be complete by the end of August.
