New teaching course at TWA


Eyelash demand increases


The Semi Permanent Eyelash Extension course at the Waverley Academy has proved to be hugely popular with courses booked out well in advance.


Academic manager at the Academy, Kathleen Garvey comments: “We have sourced one of the best training kits in the industry which provides excellent quality and enough lashes for a minimum of 80 treatments. We have also sourced the original trainer for the product who was the first person to bring it into the country and is expert in her field. The one day workshop equips participants with the skills and products to earn €1,000’s of euros on completion of training.”

The Waverley Academy have a new ITEC Teacher Training course starting on Sunday 16th June. The programme will be delivered over six Sundays, one per month (no classes in August or December) and will fi nish on Sunday 15th January 2012. Principal Derek O Kelly says: “Producing quality teachers for the industry has been a major focus at our college over the past four years and has assisted us greatly in our expansion and development plans. All tutors teaching at our college have come through the programme and our methods of delivery have made it the most popular teaching programme in the industry.”

New prospectus launched


Salon Services’ 2011 training prospectus for Ireland is out now, with 38 courses available for established and aspiring hair and beauty professionals.
