In order to remain successful in business, development must be ongoing and Gillian makes sure that Fuschia keeps on growing with a marketing plan and finding out what staff and clients want from the brand. “We sit down on a quarterly basis and work out our marketing plan. We constantly brainstorm with our staff and we run focus groups with our clients, which helps us to determine what works and what doesn’t work. We then issue a plan for the quarter and review it each week to ensure it is working,” says Gillian.


As successful as the brand is today, did Gillian and Aiden ever imagine that the brand would be this successful? “We always hoped that it would be a success, and we put an awful lot of time and effort into it to ensure that it would be! We are so grateful to be where we are at the moment and there is plenty more to come from this brand!”


“2011 is going to be a very big year for Fuschia as we are opening our Make-up School, moving to a bigger distribution centre, relaunching our flagship store and redesigning our website! We are also recruiting for new sales representatives. It is going to be a very exciting year by the time everything is completed!”

2007 The Fuschia business had its first expansion and the first brochure was launched. Fuschia wins the Best Small Business award.


2008 Fuschia are winners of the Best Retail Business and Customer Service Business award.


2010 The brand receives two awards in 2010 – Best Overall Mineral Make-up (Sunday Independent), and Image Beauty Award Winner.


2011 We’re on the move! Fuschia plan to move to bigger premises, as well as expand the business, launch a new website and employ more sales representatives.
