IGN: MediaXP has signed a partnership to publish IGN Germany. The European games media group will take control of the day-to-day running for the site.
ESRB: The US ratings board has begun to use a computer program to assign ratings to digital video games based on preset parameters.
Homefront on top in March

Nintendo enjoyed a strong month, too.
THQ’S NEW IP Homefront beat Pokémonand a string of high-profile EA titles to become the biggest selling game of March.
The result – combined with strong sales of WWE and uDraw– helped THQ leap up the publisher rankings. The firm is now amongst the Top Five publishers in terms of units and value last month. The firm was outside the Top Ten in February.
But the biggest winner of March was EA.

The publisher has a whopping 12 games in the All Formats Top 50, with Crysis 2, Fight Night Champion, Dragon Age II and FIFA 11 all in the Top Ten. In total, EA held a 27.9 per cent share of the software market (in terms of value) last month.

Major publishers set for MCM Expo by Dominic Sacco

The MCM Expo takes place
from Friday, May 27th to Sunday, May 29th at London’s ExCeL.

Event organisers expect to draw an all-time high of 60,000 visitors – 10,000 more than the October show.
