With our qualifi cations embraced around the world, there is a pressing requirement to ensure excellent standards wherever City & Guilds is present.
City & Guilds’ support for its customers has been extended globally to ensure a high-quality, standardised approach to vocational learning. City & Guilds and the South African Qualifi cations Authority signed a joint implementation plan that saw a large number of City & Guilds qualifi cations registered on, and aligned to, the South African National Qualifi cation Framework. City & Guilds is now working with the relevant sector education and training authorities to fi nalise the quality-assurance processes behind the qualifi cations. Work has also been taking place in
South Africa and India to develop a ‘qualifi cation in a box’, which works on the principle of supplying a full range of qualifi cation materials alongside content and assessments for specifi c international markets. This meets City & Guilds International’s commitment to fi nding customer-focused solutions. Meanwhile, in Bermuda, the National
Training Board and City & Guilds have been working together to bridge the skills gap and give Bermudians career progression and job security. Key objectives include making City & Guilds international qualifi cations part of the National Certifi cation process, and training staff at Bermuda Community College so that existing courses can be mapped to City & Guilds qualifi cations.
