These former students are now internationally recognised Make-up Artists, specialising in Bridal, Fashion/Trend, Editorial,and Corrective Make-up and much more.

Principal Linda Ennis told IB: “It was lovely to see all of our students dressed to the nines for the occasion. We are hugely proud of our students’ achievements and are thrilled with the results throughout the year.”

The Beauty Academy would like to congratulate everyone who took part in the National Nail and Make-up Competitions, which took place at the RDS earlier this year.
In particular, the Beauty Academy team did exceptionally well with Emma McCabe winning 2nd place in Tip & Overlay with Acrylic, 3rd place in Freeform Sculptured Nails, and 2nd place in Photography with her Moulin Rouge themed nails.
Berenice Sullivan won 3rd place in Photography with her Freddy Kreuger themed nails and 1st Place in Photography for Make-up with her Black and White Bride, while Chantel Smith won 1st prize in Nail Encapsulation.

Sisters doing it for themselves!
On Thursday 23rd of September the Beauty Academy Make-up Artistry Team joined a Breast Cancer Awareness charity event to help raise much needed funds. Linda Ennis, Berenice Sullivan and Anne Marie McCarn participated in a Make-up Marathon, performing free make-overs on members of the public in Dundrum shopping centre. The team thoroughly enjoyed the day and found it very rewarding.

The Waverley Academy (formerly The Irish Academy) has been contracted as a training partner with Dublin’s Institute of Technology.
Academic Manager at the Academy, Kathleen Garvey told IB: “Being accepted as a training partner for a higher education authority is a tremendous accolade to the quality of training we deliver. Our FETAC Train the Trainer programme was particularly attractive to D.I.T because of its distance learning modules incorporated with onsite workshops, a training model which we will be launching for the beauty and complementary industry in the New Year.”
