Frank Raine Kemp, 71, of Clinton, MD passed away on September 14, 2010. Born February 26, 1939 in Oak Grove, VA,hewas the son of the late Frank Raine Kemp, Sr., and Louise Kemp Wachter.


Frank was awholesale car dealer at the Manheim and Fredericksburgauctions for Winegardner Motors for over 10 years and formerly for Ken Dixon Chevrolet. He grew up in Fairfax and attended Fairfax High School whereheexcelled in football and baseball and later served in the United States Army wherehealso played baseball while in Germany.


He was amember of St. John the Evangelist Church in Clinton, MD. He was aformer member of Tantallon Golf and Country Club and was especially proud of the CD he had made at Sun Records in Memphis, TN and Alden Recording Studio in Laurel, MD.


He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carolyn Stitcher Kemp; daughter,Carla Rayne and grand- daughter,Courtney of LaPlata, MD; daughter, Tracy Lynn and husband Chris Beck, and grand- children, Carson and Kylie of Jacksonville, FL. He had ason by aprevious marriage, Ricky Raine Weir and two grandchildren by him and astepson, Robert Stitcher and grandchildren, Ginger and Tasha of Cumberland, MD. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four half-brothers and one half-sister.Hehas many close relatives near Oak Grove, VA.

On Tuesday,September 21, 2010 passed away peacefully at her home at Brighton Gardens in Chevy Chase, MD. She was born in Vineland, NJ on October 8, 1915 to Agide and Emma Pacini. Her only sibling, Henry Pacini, died in March of 2007. When the children wereyoung, the family moved back to Italy whereshe spent many wonderful and memorable years living with her parents and brother in Lucca, Italy.She loved this ancient city, and in later years returned every fall to visit. When the family returned to the United States, they settled in Washington, DC whereshe finished high school at Western High School, and then graduated from Immaculata Junior College in Washington, DC. She worked at the Italian Embassy,and later met her first husband, Lawrence J. Comella who was finishing at Georgetown School of Foreign Service. While her husband was with the State Department, they lived for several years in Santiago, Chile with their two oldest children. After returning to Washington, they had two additional children and made this area their permanent home.


Evelyn spent twenty-five years working in real estate for two prominent area firms, Burr N. Johnson and W.C. &A.N. Miller.Her love of people and her fluency in both Italian and Spanish enhanced her success in this business. She continued working after the death of her husband in 1970.


In 1981 she married William H. Sardo, Jr.She and Bill weremarried for twenty-six years, were completely devoted to one another,and enjoyed world travel and spending the winters at their home in Delray Beach, Florida. Bill passed away in 2007.


True to her Italian heritage, the most important thing in her life was her family.She was an amazing cook and loved having everyone gathered around


the table. She had friends both hereand around the world. She enjoyed entertaining and conversation. She excelled at both.


Evelyn was aparishioner of The Church of the Little Flower,Bethesda, MD for over 40 years, whereshe had been amember of the Sodality.She was also alongtime member of Kenwood Golf and Country Club.


She was atrue lady,fromadifferent era, whose graciousness, elegance, and positive outlook, will be greatly missed by all who loved her.She is survived by her devoted children, Lawrence Comella, Stephanie Comella, and Rita Reaves (Robert). She is predeceased by her beloved daughter,Marie Comella Fox. She leaves seven grandchildren, Michael Fox (Robyn), Thomas Fox, Robert Fox, Stephen Fox, Stephanie Fox Heffernan (Ian), Nicholas Reaves, and Emma Reaves. She is also survived by five great grandchildren, and five step-grandchildren.


She leaves amultitude of other relatives and friends including her family and caregivers at Brighton Gardens in Chevy Chase.
