DUTIES: Reporting to the Assistant or Associate Director, the General Manager is responsible for the total planning, organization, oversight and management of all aspects of a multi-unit resident dining room and central commissary.


QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Restaurant Management, Business or related field and at least 7 years of successful progressively responsible restaurant/food service management experience. The successful candidate will have outstanding oral and written communication and guest service skills, along with expert level knowledge of food and dining trends. The ability to lead, motivate and train a diverse work team and advanced skills in cash handling, inventory controls and computerized POS, food production and HR management systems are essential. A PG County Certified Food Service Certification is required within 90 days of hire. Advanced in Hospitality Management, formal culinary training, CEC or FMP certification preferred.
