Jangro, the largest network of independently owned janitorial supplies companies in the UK, is returning to the Total Workplace Management Exhibition (TWM). This year, Jangro boasts more branches and more product choice than ever before.
Jangro expands
The event will reinforce the rapidly growing Jangro Brand, which incorporates the exclusive Enviro and Sovereign product ranges, which Jangro has specifically developed to have a minimal impact on the environment and deliver market leading performance respectively.
Metsa Tissue, a leading supplier of tissue paper products, Newell Rubbermaid, and a global designer and manufacturer of hygiene solutions are just three of those eager to support Jangro on the stand throughout the exhibition.
Jangro’s latest 160 page fully illustrated Hygiene Solutions catalogue will be unveiled at TWM. The catalogue showcases the latest developments in Jangro’s comprehensive range of washroom, cleaning, waste management and floorcare solutions, as well as expanded workwear, personal protection, first aid and electrical ranges. This edition will enhance the catalogue’s reputation as a ‘must have’ for anyone responsible for workplace management. The Jangro Solution, a comprehensive suite of end user training services, has been developed to help customers make the most of Jangro product quality, while always implementing appropriate health and safety precautions.

Amano Pioneer Eclipse, a worldwide manufacturer of professional floor care and sanitation products, has announced that nine of its EnviroStar Green® chemicals have been certified by EcoLogo™. This well respected and established multi- attribute environmental standard and certification mark was founded in 1988 by the Canadian government. It compares the lifecycle impact of similar types of products and awards those that meet the programs stringent standards of environmental leadership. Recognized worldwide, the EcoLogo program has been successfully audited by the Global EcoLabeling Network (GEN) and is considered a Type 1 eco-label as defined by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
The EnviroStar Green product lines consist of twenty five different Earth friendly chemicals that produce excellent results in all types of commercial and institutional applications. The products include floor coatings, floor maintainers, all purpose cleaners, degreasers, neutralizers and washroom cleaners.
EcoLogo certification is yet another accolade bestowed on EnviroStar Green.
Introduced by Amano Pioneer Eclipse in 2003, EnviroStar Green floor care products were the first to be recognized by the Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”) Design for the Environment (“DfE”) Program for the integration of cleaner, smarter and environmentally preferable solutions into everyday business applications. Subsequently, numerous EnviroStar Green products have been certified by GreenSeal, a US organization similar to the Canadian based EcoLogo.
“As more emphasis is placed on sustainable and earth friendly practices in our business, the importance of third party validation is going to become even more important,” says Tom Benton, President of Amano Pioneer Eclipse. “Independent groups like EcoLogo, DfE and GreenSeal provide our customers with a credible resource to help them make sound purchasing decisions.”

Infection Control in Educational Facilities
With the beginning of the school year just around the corner, it is important to make sure your cleaning program includes effective preventative measures to control the spread of infection. It was not so long ago when we were faced with daily references in the media regarding the possible escalation of the swine flu (H1N1 Virus). Amano Pioneer Eclipse has a very effective product to deter the spread of the even the toughest virus.
Aurora HB is an effective bactericide, fungicide and virucide suitable for all washable surfaces in public environments. When diluted in water at the rate of 2 ounces per gallon, it exhibits effective disinfectant activity against organisms like E-coli, Salmonella and Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) while meeting all requirements for hospital use. According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, virus
typically spread from person to person by exposure to coughing, sneezing or by touching a hard surface with the virus on it and then subsequently touching your eyes, mouth or nose before washing your hands. While nothing has been identified as being effective in precluding the infection after transmission of a virus has occurred, the CDC endorses a preemptive cleaning protocol as being an effective at circumventing the initial transmission of a virus by cleaning surfaces and kill virus on contact.
