FOUNDRY ENGINEER—Aarrowcast, Inc. a Grey and Ductile Iron foundry located in Shawano, Wisconsin has an immediate opening for a qualified Foundry Engineer. A minimum of 2 years of gating Grey and Ductile Iron castings is required and a BS degree in Metallurgy or Mechanical Engineering is preferred. Knowledge of green sand molding operations and experience with core making processes. Strong written and oral communi- cations skills, excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills with the ability to read and interpret blue prints. The Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Virginia Tech seeks applications for a tenure track faculty position in metal casting and solidifica- tion. Exceptional candidates at senior ranks may be considered for an endowed professorship if they can contribute to initiatives in advanced materials and high-performance coatings. The depart- ment has 18 faculty, eight of which are jointly appointed with other departments, approximately 75 undergraduate stu- dents, and 50 graduate students.
