Norcast Buys Complementary Wear Parts Caster Swanmet Norcast Wear Solutions, Toronto,
Canada, parent of Norcast Castings Co., recently purchased Swanmet Engineer- ing Pty., a metalcaster with operations in Malaysia and Singapore producing cast products such as crushing and ground engagement tools. Norcast casts mill liners, crushers
and wear components for the min- ing industry.

Waupaca, Wis., has been awarded Bronze Level Supplier Quality Excel- lence Process certification from Cater- pillar Inc., Peoria, Ill. According to a company press
release, TKW received the award for providing the highest levels of prod- ucts, quality and service to Caterpillar.
Under the Supplier Quality Excellence Process established by Caterpillar in March 2007, nominees for the award undergo a review of process manage- ment requirements and must exceed expected capability and performance. Award recipients are chosen by experts in the fields of engineering, manufactur- ing, logistics and purchasing.
