Special ses- sions “Energy Reduction Projects for the Foundry” and “Metalcasting—A Global Perspective” also will be offered. Other events unique to the Met- alcasting Congress this year include the Charles Edgar Hoyt Memorial Lecture, given this year by Gary Gi- gante, Thyssenkrupp Waupaca Inc., Waupaca, Wis., on “How We Can Become a Practical Green Foundry Industry,” an economic forum assess- ing the state of the industry, and the AFS President’s Session. Aside from the show floor, CastExpo


provides networking opportunities to metalcasters with a number of special luncheons and dinners for AFS and NADCA and their divisions. The newly elected AFS and CMI


officers and directors will be intro- duced to the industry at the AFS President’s Luncheon and Annual Business Meeting. Winners of the 2010 Casting Competition, Scientific Merit award, Service Citations, AFS/ CMI Director’s award and Millionaires Safety Award also will be announced at the President’s Luncheon. The AFS Gold Medal will be awarded at the AFS Annual Banquet.
