T is vessel will be able to run on LNG,
biofuel or ordinary marine diesel oil. STX Europe’s gas tank solution is impressive as the LNG tank does not reduce the cargo capacity onboard instead the new design has a higher cargo capacity than other vessels of its size and type. The LNG PSV is further arranged for
rescue operations, recovery of personnel and oil recovery operations. The vessel has been designed by STX Europe’s design offi ce in Ålesund, Norway. T e hull is under construction at STX Europe in Tulcea, Romania and will be outfitted at the STX Europe yard, Langsten in Norway. President of STX Europe’s offshore and
specialised vessels business area, Roy Reite, said: “We have a strong focus on environmental concerns throughout a vessel’s value chain – from design and construction through the ship’s operating life. LNG is a technology in which we already have a strong track record, and we look forward to developing the new vessel together with Solstad.” OMT
