Automation for Oil and Gas Production At present, JSC concern Avrora Scientific and Production Association has been working actively for creation of systems and offshore complexes for development of oil and gas deposits in the framework of implemen- tation of the Federal purpose–oriented programme «Development of Commercial Maritime Equipment for 2009-2016». JSC Concern Avrora Scientific and Pro- duction Association has developed the technical requirements for the multifunc- tional basic system of coordinated control of semi-submersible drilling rig motion and dynamic positioning over the point of drilling the underwater wells, which is to be performed during control of functioning of the technical facilities ensuring motion and functioning of technological equip- ment systems. JSC Concern Avrora Scientific and Produc- tion Association has everything required for the manufacturing, supply and warranty maintenance of the systems and automa- tion complexes for the maritime equip- ment including the equipment of such classes and types as semi-submersible and stationary offshore drilling rigs, supply ships, gas carriers, tankers, technical fleet icebreakers.

On September 23rd, 2009, at the Neva- 2009 Exhibition JSC Concern Avrora Scientific and Production Association and Transas Closed Company concluded a con- sortium agreement. This agreement serves as a sample of consolidation partnership of the state-owned and private enterprises aimed at achievement of the most effective results in a short time. The companies have a long experience in shipbuilding, they po- sition themselves as integrators and they are intended to develop the market seg- ment of automation and control systems for drilling rigs and ships of various types and purposes which ensure production and transportation of hydrocarbons. «The strategic idea of establishment of the consortium is connected with expec- tation for a dramatic rise in commercial shipbuilding and first of all in its segment working for offshore production of hydro- carbons. For this purpose we will invest about 200 million roubles in building of closed-cycle commercial maritime equip- ment assembling complex. Together with our partner we will be able to solve the entire scope of problems of automation of the offshore facilities for oil and gas production and transportation» - explains Konstantin Shilov, Director General of JSC

JSC Concern Avrora Scientific and Produc- tion Association is ready for expanding its cooperation with other firms and companies specializing in manufacturing of the products for the commercial maritime equipment and first of all with the companies which supply ship equipment (diesels, diesel-alternators, electric propulsion plants, frequency convert- ers and main switchgear).
