CDB ME Rubin was one of the first Russian shipbuilding enter- prises that has mastered the 3D modelling when designing oil and gas production facilities. The 3D modelling is used not only for the development of project and shipbuilding documents but directly as visual reference system during construction at a shipbuild- ing yard. CDB ME Rubin carried out activi- ties for the development of off- shore platforms and engineering tools for oil and gas production and transportation in the inter- ests of such renowned oil and gas companies like Sakhalin Energy Investment Company Ltd., Hal- liburton International Inc., Exxon Neftegas Ltd., Total, Gasprom and Rosshelf, etc. At present, CDB ME Rubin is work-
ing for the following contracts related to the development of offshore oil and gas facilities: – Development of FEED and de- tailed design of the living quarters for the platform of Sakahalin-1 project (Customer – Sakhneftegaz Engineering, Russia), – Development of FEED design and feasibility study of the Shtok- man Field Platform (Customer – Doris Engineering, France), – Development of 3D model of the Prirazlomnoye Field Platform and programme and procedure docu- ments for platform’s trials (Cus- tomer – ZAO Morneftegasproject, Russia), – Development of workshop design documents of the Prira- zlomnoye Field Platform and programme and procedure docu- ments for platform’s trials (Cus- tomer – JSCo PO Sevmash), – Technical support of construc- tion and field supervision of Prira- zlomnoye Field Platform (Cus- tomer – ZAO Morneftegasproject, Russia).
The quality management system has been functioning in CDB ME Rubin since 2000. Now the system complies with the requirements of GOST R ISO 9001-2008 (it is au- thentic with international stand- ard ISO 9001:2008). Compliance of the system with the requirements of the standard is certified by the certificate of compliance issued by the classification society Det Norske Veritas. The experience accumulated by CDB ME Rubin in the settlement of engineering and organizational issues during development and construction of oil and gas pro- ductions facilities allowed the Design Bureau to occupy one of the leading places in this sphere in Russia. The authorised govern- mental agencies appointed CDB ME Rubin the leading organization for designing the marine equip- ment means for oil and gas fields. Activities have started in CDB ME Rubin for the implementation of the goal-oriented programme of the Russian Federation «Develop- ment of Civil Marine Technology» for 2009-2016 with regard to the development of concept designs of offshore ice-resistant fixed platforms.
