Welcome to IJL 2010
Now in its 54th year, International Jewellery London is still the UK’s only dedicated jewellery trade event, bringing together and celebrating the finest British and international jewellery manufacturers, designers and suppliers the industry has to offer. This guide gives you just a taste of what to expect at IJL this year: it outlines the show highlights to look out for (including our extensive seminar programme), as well as offering an up-to-date exhibitor list and useful information about the venue.
With almost 500 exhibitors (of which 100 have never shown at IJL) showcasing thousands of products and launching their latest collections, you will be inspired and amazed by the vast range of jewellery and services that are on hand at IJL.
It couldn’t be easier to revitalise your stock for Christmas, discover and learn coming season trends, network with industry peers and meet fresh talent.
We are also continuing to provide the best in education and training with 50 sessions taking place in our free Seminar Programme. Subjects covered span from retail strategies and jewellery trends, to multi-channel retailing and technical and product knowledge. We have sourced leading experts in their field to come and present the most valuable content available for 2010.
One aspect we are especially proud of at IJL is our dedication to supporting and nurturing up-and-coming new talent. Through the KickStart and Bright Young Gems initiatives, we are able to help designers who are particularly original and innovative in their work to get recognition for their outstanding abilities. These features are centred in and around the Design Gallery, which has now been given a prominent position at the front of the show.
Make sure you also check out the IJL website (
www.jewellerylondon.com) before attending the show as it provides a wealth of information and is a fantastic resource in planning your visit. You can find out much more about all of our exhibitors, view the product gallery for sneak previews and watch this year’s podcast series, where key industry professionals discuss hot topics and issues.
We look forward to welcoming you to IJL between 5-8 September.
