KENYA
Kenya is a country that is bursting at the seams with culture, opportunity and magnificent scenery. This unique country holds a mix ofmountains, desert and pristine beaches all within its borders. Kenyan safaris provide an amazing opportunity to explore the wild, wonderful wilderness of the country. Meanwhile, the coastline is lined with palm trees and beaches, with coral reefs located just off shore.
Kenya's population is hugely affected by the struggles of HIV/AIDS, poverty and unemployment. It is known to be one of the poorest countries in Africa. As a volunteer, there are countless ways you can make an impact on the lives of those that are affected by these problems. Projects such as working in the Nairobi slums or surrounding orphanages, schools, and hospitals are of huge benefit to the local people.
