Environmental Development Environmental Development:


Environmental Development refers to a variety of resources that aims to meet human needs while also preserving the environment so that these needs can be sustained in the future. USIT have a range of environmental development projects in countries around the world. These projects can vary from:


Range of duties:


• Preserving areas of natural beauty • Assisting in tasks which protect local flora and fauna • Building fences to keep animals penned in • Wildlife work • Water sanitation projects • Clean up projects


These projects are best suited to volunteers with an interest in the fields of veterinary medicine, environmental science and biology. There also environmental projects that would suit those involved in engineering or construction fields.


WildlifeWork:


If you are somebody who loves working with animals, USIT have specific Wildlife Projects that you can get involved in. Our wildlife conservation projects take place in some of the most breathtakingly beautiful parts of the world. These stunning, expansive wildlife sanctuaries are working at preserving a natural and sustainable environment for many endangered species.


Range of duties:


• Preparing the food and feeding the animals • Daily exercise • Building, painting and cleaning animal enclosures • Wildlife data collection and research • Educational-awareness campaigns


Whether it’s washing down an elephant, walking a lion, feeding a panda or protecting turtle eggs, USIT has a wildlife project suitable for you!


Conservation:


Conservation deals with preserving and protecting our environment, saving natural resources and making our world a cleaner better place to live in. Our conservation projects require hard workers! You need to be a motivated individual who is not afraid to get your hands dirty in order to make a real difference to the community.


Range of duties:


• Building pathways and fences • Tree planting • Environmental education & awareness • Recycle - Clean up theWorld Campaigns • Checking dams & water management


USIT also have environmental development projects available that combine working with animals and conservation work too.
