Professional Career Training USA:


This programme is an 18 month work visa. Not a student/graduate? This may be for you! Eligibility:


• Have graduated from a third-level institution and have at least 12 months of relevant professional experience outside the US.


• If you do not have a degree then 5 years professional work experience is required.


• Be at least 20 years old (and generally not older than 40) • Secure a full-time trainee work placement in the US. This placement should be related to your current career field. If you completed your degree within the two years previous to the start date of your training then your placement should relate to your coursework and current career path. The maximum duration can be 18 months.


• Not work in an unskilled occupation or prohibited J-1 job as defined by the US State Department.


Internship USA Programme:


This is a 2-12 month visa which is aimed at third level students and recent graduates who wish to gain international work experience in their chosen course of study.


Eligibility:


• Apply while enrolled as a University undergraduate/postgraduate student or apply and commence your training within 12 months of your graduation date.


• Have already begun a course of study of at least 2 years duration at a university or any other third-level educational institution. One year postgraduate course are also eligible.


• Have pre-arranged course-related training in the US. The position may be paid or unpaid. The maximum duration can be 12 months.


• Be a full-time student or recent graduate only. • Begin your trainingwhile still a student orwithin 12months of graduation. • Non-Irish Citizens: You are eligible for this programme provided you are completing your entire course in Ireland. New 12 MonthWork USA Visa:


This programme is aimed at third level students and recent graduates who wish to gain international work experience in their chosen course of study but would prefer to job hunt while in America.


Eligibility:


• Be 18 years or over and the holder of an Irish passport • Apply while enrolled as a college undergraduate/postgraduate student or apply and commence your training within 12 months of your graduation date.


• You must either be a student or recent graduate (within 12 months of graduation)


• You must either attend/have attended (within the past 12 months) any post-secondary institutionwithin the 32 counties of Ireland studying


towards/have obtained a qualification recognised as the equivalent to or higher than level 6 of the Irish Higher Education System.

J1 SummerWork and Travel Programme:


This is a 5 month summer work and travel visa (4 month work and 1 month travel) which is aimed at third level students. Eligibility:


• Be 18 years of age or over at time of application • Open to all nationalities studying in Ireland or Northern Ireland • Open to Irish and Northern Ireland citizens studying in Great Britain and Irish Nationals on Erasmus/Socrates abroad


• All participants must be enrolled in a full-time day course (running at least 2 years full time) that can potentially lead to a degree or higher qualification


• All participants must be returning to either a full-time job (if they are in the final year of their degree or higher course) OR (if in a 2/3 year Cert or Diploma course) returning to full-time education in autumn 2011 for at least one more year of full-time study on your current course in order to ultimately gain a degree or higher qualification.
