the 1600s; tailors kept ‘bolts’ of cloth in their shops and after a customer selected their particular fabric it became spoken for and thus ‘bespoke’. As a bespoke tailor would do today, the chosen cloth was then made into a piece of clothing or outfit specific to the individual customer.

their own unique style but there are a few things to look out for that are the mark of a good tailor. Button holes and edges ought to be hand-stitched and canvas lining should be free floating.
