‘As innovators our constant ambition is to promote a ladder of educational opportunity’
educational opportunity through courses, workshops and seminars. We are working harder than ever to help disenchanted young people who have been alienated by formal education and we work with community and arts organisations to help people access arts training and gain workplace skills.”
The studio
£135 will buy you a day in the 1200 sq ft studio (If you sign up as a member at £50 a year or £15 a month. Or just £10 a year for students) £30 will buy you an hour.
It’s fully equipped (almost exclusively) with Bowens products, including six Esprit DXmonolights on an upgraded Hi-Glide system; beauty dish, Fresnel spot, two softboxes, snoots, and basic reflectors. Adds Paul: “We have found Bowens kit to be excellent value formoney. It’s well-built and it’s very easy to acquire spare parts. Servicing is simple too – and importantly, Bowens units have proved themselves to be completely ‘student proof’. Additionally, the combination of size,
facilities, equipment and price make our
solution here in Brixton a pretty formidable proposition.” Household names such as Rankin and John Pilger wander in from time to time; ‘And probably many other imaging icons that I miss’ – smiles Paul.
