Pro photographers dominated the industry back then, and it was extremely rare that an amateur bought flash. There were two good reasons of course,
firstly, flash
equipment was very expensive back then; and second, it was almost impossible to find an amateur photo dealer who stocked lighting. Mind you, the pros liked
that
ar rangement quite a lot as it gave them an edge, a bit of exclusivity.
hen I worked for Bowens in the 70’s, very few amateurs, or

The new Gemini Classic is a revamped version of the original Esprit Gemini unit, and includes a 250Ws, and a 500Ws model. The Gemini Classic range will fit nicely into the ‘Gemini’ ladder, just above the Gemini 200 and 400.
The new Gemini Classic features many of the same characteristics as the original Gemini, including the same simple-to-use control dials on the side of the unit; the left dial for power control, and the right one to adjust the output of the modelling lamp.
