Tone: Te Gabriella has a smaller air chamber than the Golden Era or the Tenbrooks banjos which gives it a very responsive, poppy sound with excellent note separation. Te banjo plays string to string and up the neck at a consistent clarity and volume. In ordering a Gabriella banjo you can choose between our highest grade of walnut, maple, or koa. Each Gabriella we build is a unique work of art that brings hours of musical enjoyment when played and aesthetic enjoyment for it’s beauty wherever it is played. Te pearl fingerboard ads a distinctive brilliance to the tone of the Gabriella.

Te Gabriella is the ultimate combination of luxurious beauty and incredible sound. We reserve the most highly figured English walnut for the neck and rare exotic burl walnut veneer for the resonator (Brazilian rosewood pictured to the leſt is not currently an option). Te beautiful burl veneer on the resonator is the same veneer as used on the inside of a Rolls Royce.

Te beautiful hand craſted and carved walnut neck has a genuine mother-of- pearl fingerboard and vine peghead inlays. Te frets are seated in ebony with the precision of a master craſtsman and the pearl of the fingerboard is also set into the ebony so precisely it looks like the frets are set in the pearl. Te pearl fingerboard and the nickel silver frets are polished to provide a luxurious playing experience.

Only the finest components become a Gabriella banjo. Along the edges of

the neck and resonator the ivoroid binding is accentuated with multi-colored trim of handset abalone shell. Te neck is fully adjustable, as are all Deering necks, with our adjustable truss rod. To top it off, the back of the banjo has an elaborate vine of raised and carved maple and mother-of pearl. Each banjo of this caliber is signed personally by Greg Deering and his top craſtsmen on the serial number label inside.

Te finest hand engraving and 24 Karat gold plating complete the beauty of this very special work of art. Te Gabriella will be the crown jewel for any banjo lover not only for its visual beauty but for its distinctively bold and brilliant tone and comfortable playability.

Te Gabriella was originally designed by Greg Deering for Buddy Gullota who asked us to build him the ultimate banjo. He was not disappointed. Since we built the first Gabriella banjo for Mr. Gullota, numerous other artists are enjoying their exquisite Gabriella banjos. Te Gabriella banjo is named aſter Al Gabriella who was a world renowned engraver and has engraved our banjos and many other banjos for many, many decades. It is a fiting honor to have the top of our line named aſter and now in memory of Mr. Gabriella.
