Deering Geared 5th String Tuner 22 Pressed In Nickel Silver Frets

Over 100 years of Vega tradition and Deering’s innovative approach to banjo craſting went into the creation of this Vega Senator model. Te Senator has the

time-honored vintage Vega peghead profile, and a rich warm brown stained maple neck with adjustable truss

rod and a 3-ply rim with dual coordinator rods. Te hard, dense, naturally beautiful ebony fingerboard is inlaid with pearl dots, and a Vega star at the fiſth fret. Tis open back Vega Senator has the ease of playability that all Deering banjos are noted for, and the light weight desired by many banjo players without sacrificing sound quality and sustain.

VEGA Senator banjos are adorned with a star at the fiſth fret and feature our spun brass tone ring which brightens the tone

and creates the brilliance that cuts through in a band seting adding that banjo sparkle.

Te sounds of these banjos are ideal for old time music, both fingerstyle and clawhammer, folk, classical, civil war era, ragtime and for classic turn-of-the-century parlor music. Nylon or gut string banjoists will find the response and character of Vega banjos appropriate for their styles as well.

Te Vega Senator

Te heads of the Senator Series are chosen for the sound needs of each style of music - a Renaissance head for openback 5-string players as shown here; while Te Senator 6-String model features a fiberskyn head for a warmer woody tone, and the Bluegrass Senator model features a frosted top head preferred by bluegrass players. Te new Vega banjos are the culmination of years of evolution and development, producing powerful, folk and early style banjos that are as at home in today’s music as they were in years past.
