Electric Banjos Maple Banjos
Banjo was once much more popular in America than the guitar. Te banjo took a back seat to guitar when the electric guitar was invented because banjo was not easily amplified. We first conquered the amplification of banjo with our Crossfire patent in 1988. Some players since have asked us to also conquer amplifying acoustic banjo. We recently had a breakthrough in providing amplified acoustic banjos with the Kavanjo® pickup. Tis is the most friendly pickup for amplifying a banjo ever. We offer several acoustic electric models here. Any model can be ordered customized with a Kavanjo® pickup.

Bela Fleck with his Deering Crossfire Banjo
When you play our patented Crossfire electric banjo, you gain the ability to play as loudly as an electric guitar without the feedback problems you have with an amplified acoustic banjo. Not only can you adjust your sound by turning the tone knob from bass to treble, but the volume knob also gives you immediate control over your output. And you can plug in amplified headphones and play silently so that only you can hear. With the Crossfire you have all the power you need and you are in full control!
