If you want a banjo that is as beautiful as it sounds, you will cherish owning an Ivanhoe. We reserve the most highly figured walnut for the neck and rare pieces of exotic burl walnut veneer for the resonator. Te inside walls of the resonator are tapered for loud and clear projection of the wonderful tone.
You’ll find superb craſtsmanship in every aspect of the Ivanhoe, from the triple bound peghead to the hand-carved heel and the superbly engraved gold plated metal parts. It has an intricately pierced armrest, accented with elegant floral engraving.
We also do something very special with the inlays by seting abalone shell into mother-of-pearl and then inlaying them both flawlessly into the ebony fingerboard. Te abalone adds a colorful sparkle of blue, green and red to the white mother-of-pearl inlays. Also, the resonator and our violin grade maple rim are trimmed with the multi-colored hand set abalone shell and ivoroid binding.
Te neck is fully adjustable and our Deering -06- bronze tone ring gives it a clarity, purity and richness of tone.
Te Ivanhoe is a beautiful gold plated & engraved banjo with a quick response that is perfect for bluegrass or melodic playing. It can be sweet yet bright or bold and powerful with a tone that projects well and enhances all musical styles.
