Janet and I welcome you to the world of Deering Banjos. Tis catalog shows many of the banjos that we make here at our factory. Tis includes the Deering, Vega, Tenbrooks, and Goodtime banjos, all of which are made by Janet and I, and our team of 33 dedicated banjo specialists right here in our Spring Valley, California located just 10 miles east of downtown San Diego. We focus on making only banjos in our factory so that all of our staff’s 180 years of combined banjo building expertise is directed toward making the highest quality banjos in all price ranges and providing the best banjos in the world.

Aſter you purchase a Deering, Vega, or Tenbrooks banjo and send in your Lifetime Warranty card, we register that banjo to you as the original owner. Within 6 months we send out Gold Cards to the new banjo owners, along with a Deering Banjo Maintenance Manual. A Gold Card is a plastic card that is embossed with your name, the model you purchased, the date of your purchase and the serial number of your banjo. Te purpose of the Gold Card is to acknowledge and validate your ownership and it serves for proof of ownership in the future. Te number imbedded in the back of the peghead on your banjo matches the last four numbers of your serial number on the card. Te other numbers on the card are writen inside the resonator on the serial number label.
Goodtime banjos do not come with serial numbers and so we do not provide Gold Cards for Goodtime banjos. However when you return your warranty card to us, we register your ownership in our database. Your Six Year Warranty is in effect for any defects in materials or workmanship from the date of your purchase. Upon receipt of your warranty card we send out a Goodtime Banjo Maintenance Manual so that you have the instructions needed to properly maintain your banjo. Manuals are also available on line at
