Glossary
The following glossary has been created as a reference point for teachers when using this
resource. The definitions have been provided with a view to initiating further discussions
about meaning and interpretation by students in class.
When possible we recommend that a class session begins with a brief exploration of the
language that students may encounter in the class that day. Peace One Day recogniz-
es that alternative definitions and interpretations may be preferable on a class-by-class/
school-by-school basis.
