who believe in God. The changing societal fabric

and resistance to strictures have weaned some people from orga- nized religions and practicing their faith. Changing political ideologies and exposure to an array of diverse views at a very young age before the foundations of solid belief systems have been laid have also contributed to the decline. Among the Newsmax/TIPP Poll

survey respondents, more than half, 56%, felt a “great/moderate” connec- tion between the decline of religion in the United States and the influ- ence of “woke” culture, socialism, or similar ideologies in our educational institutions. Charitable acts are a mainstay of

almost all major religions. Hence, many faith-based organizations run programs to uplift communities and

rom putting up the tree to indulging in sugary cookies, listening to carols, and exchanging

gifts, some holiday customs have become ubiquitous. Last year Americans spent $936 billion on Christmas shopping. But what to buy and what to give are dilemmas

many grapple with. So, to make your gift-buying easier, a Newsmax/TIPP Poll asked Americans to pick their top gift preferences for this holiday season. Men and women made largely overlapping choices from the given list of 16 options, although there is marked variance in the percentages.

the idea, and 13% are undecided. With national debt at record lev-

els and the Biden administration’s reckless spending plans, the public has little faith in the allocation of the federal funds. The materialistic nature of Christ-

mas has left many Americans fearing that the holiday has become too commercialized. Almost 8 out of 10 agreed that “Christmas is too commercial and has lost its religious signifi-

across people of various ideologies, with 88% of conservatives, 79% of moderates, and 67% of liberals con- curring with the sentiment.
