Ugly Wave of Antisemitism Sweeps the Nation

From college campuses to Hollywood elites, radicals denounce Israel.

controls the Gaza Strip and is funded by the Tehran government, orches- trated the highly coordinated Oct. 7 attack by air, sea, and land. In addition to the mostly civilian

deaths, 280 Israelis were seized as hostages and held in dark, airless tunnels dug by the terrorists beneath Gaza.

“There is absolutely no question

in my mind that if a terror group wished to conduct a similar attack on our southern border, it would be just as successful — if not more so,” said Kyle Shideler, a senior analyst of Homeland Security and Counter- terrorism at the Center for Security Policy.

According to a recent homeland

threat assessment issued by the Department of Homeland Security, 169 illegal immigrants whose identi- ties match names on the terrorist screening database have been appre- hended while trying to cross the bor-

of America, tearing down posters of kidnapped Israelis and throwing their support behind the Hamas militants responsible for the deadliest attack on the Jewish state in 50 years, the left has failed to condemn the rampant antisemitism. Anti-Jewish and anti-Israel incidents

on college campuses — already at a concerning level — surged in the weeks since Hamas launched its Oct. 7 assault. While a handful of college and

university administrators released statements denouncing violence on both sides, that condemnation hasn’t stopped many progressive student organizations from painting Israel as the aggressor and blaming Israelis for the bloodshed. A number of pro-Palestinian student

groups from some of the nation’s most prestigious campuses — including Harvard, Columbia, and Cornell — began voicing their support for Hamas soon after the attack that left more than 1,400 Israelis dead. As the Israel Defense Forces launched an offensive to root out Hamas in Gaza, the activists began

painting Israel as the aggressor. The attacks on Jews haven’t been

limited to college campuses, either. In Hollywood, more than 2,000

actors, artists, and musicians denounced Israel’s response to Hamas’ terror attack. An open letter from Artists for

Palestine UK said Israel was committing “war crimes” by carrying out airstrikes and cutting off food, water, and fuel to the region where the terrorists are based. “Our governments are not only

tolerating war crimes but aiding and abetting them,” the letter stated. The letter fails to condemn Hamas or mention that the group was responsible for mass murder and the taking of more than 200 hostages. Many members of the establishment media rushed to back up Hamas’ claim that Israel took out a Gaza hospital during an airstrike — even though evidence subsequently proved that only a parking lot was hit and the rocket that caused the damage was launched by the group Palestinian Islamic Jihad, not Israel.

The New York Times waited about a

week before noting that it failed to verify the story it ran with.

The corporate

media wasn’t the only group who took Hamas’ word as truth. While

progressive politicians known as “the squad” have long sided with Palestinians, a number of Democrat lawmakers have put out statements essentially backing Hamas. Rep. Rashida
