Investigative reporter David Bedein says that on Sept. 27 he showed a group of senior Israeli government security officials recent video he had acquired from Palestinian cameramen showing the Hamas war preparations.
er David Bedein told News- max.
One of Bedein’s sons, El-
chanan, narrowly escaped be- ing murdered by Hamas on Oct. 7 by hiding in a safe room for 30 hours. Bedein says that on Sept.
27 he showed a group of senior Israeli government security of- ficials recent video he had ac- quired from Palestinian cam- eramen showing the Hamas war preparations. The video included Hamas
terrorists training in Gaza to storm kibbutzim, kidnap sol- diers, and take hostages. “I brought a roomful of ex-
perts, all veterans of Israeli intelligence, to this briefing, and for two hours we showed the government people video footage of Hamas training to invade Israel. They took copi- ous notes, but did nothing,” he said. Bedein and his Center for
Near East Policy Research have made 20 films document- ing the relationship between Hamas and the United Na- tions Relief and Works Agency
(UNRWA), which runs Pales- tinian schools and hospitals in the West Bank and Gaza, as well as summer camps for chil- dren where they receive mili- tary training. Those films can be found at IsraelBehindThe-
News.com. Former President Donald
Trump suspended funding to UNRWA when he learned of its relationship to Hamas. Before the Trump suspen- sion, the United States was the largest contributor to the U.N. agency, providing $350 million per year, or nearly 30% of its annual budget. Biden released $750 million
in frozen funds to UNRWA as soon as he took office, and re- stored fresh funding in April 2021. He only cut off that fund-
ing in March of this year, once Israel showed fresh video of Hamas using UNRWA schools and hospitals as military bases. Today, Germany has become the largest funder of UNRWA. “If I as a private citizen
could acquire this type of vid- eo, just think what our intelli-
gence people must have had,” Bedein said. “And yet, no one took action before Oct. 7.”
POLITICAL TURMOIL Former CBS Radio news cor- respondent David Dolan, who has reported on Israel regularly for more than 40 years, recently told Prophecy Today Weekend that he be- lieved an accountability com- mission is still in the cards, and that it is “pretty certain” Netanyahu will face blame. He also pointed to the
current war cabinet, formed shortly after the attacks when opposition leader Benny Gantz — a former defense minister — joined the govern- ment. “This is clearly a tem- porary arrangement,” Dolan said. In public opinion polls published at the end of April, 45% of Israelis said they wanted Gantz to replace Ne- tanyahu as prime minister, while 36% wanted Netanyahu to remain. But polls are fickle — just
