coordinated the regulation of speech “through conversa- tions with government” and “took a very active approach to disinformation.” In a post on X, Rufo labeled her NPR’s “new censor-in-

chief.” Hirsen tells Newsmax that executives harboring anti-

First Amendment views should not be hired to lead taxpay- er-funded radio. “She’s against the ideal of a free and open internet,”

he notes, “but in addition, she’s against the notion of free speech that is a hallmark of American law, American sensi- bilities, and supposedly the profession of journalism, at least as it used to be, and as it ought to be.” As Rufo dug further, he uncovered Maher posts sharply criticizing Hillary Clinton for using the terms “girl” and “boy,” stating those terms are disrespectful to the LGBTQ+ community. He also uncovered a 2018 post branding Donald Trump

“racist.” Joining Rufo and Hirsen in blasting Maher: Larry Sanger,

a pioneer of the “free and open” internet and a cofounder of Wikipedia. Sanger told Rufo he laments the progressive bias that has

saddled his old company with the sobriquet “Wokepedia.” The site, he said, “has not just been taken over by the left,

but has been co-opted by and [is] working with the govern- ment. That’s not a thing I would’ve imagined happening 20 years ago.” Sanger’s prescription for curing blatant bias at NPR: “If

NPR wanted to prove that they were still committed to free speech, to being ideologically neutral and simply nonparti- san, they would let her go right away,” he said. Hirsen predicts Maher’s reign over NPR will be largely

unaff ected by her apparent support for censoring speech opposed to the liberal-progressive worldview. Said Sanger, “When she says that she’s worked with gov-

ernment to shut down what they consider ‘misinformation,’ that, in itself, means that it’s no longer free and open.”

Airline business class demographics are such a pet peeve of mine. In the lounge and on the plane, usually > 80% male, usually white.

I do wish Hillary wouldn’t use the language of “boy and girl” - it’s erasing language for non-binary people.

I am a super big public transit nerd. I hate private cars and cities. I love bikes. And yes, I love buses. Transit justice

Had a dream where Kamala and I were on a road trip in an unspecifi ed location, sampling and comparing nuts and baklava from roadside stands.
