For development opportunities in the Humber, then look no further than Associated British Ports (ABP) four ports.


ABP is one of the UK’s largest land owners owning a mix of develop- ment opportunities, open storage, properties, and warehousing. The region is a powerhouse for the UK contributing significantly locally, nationally and globally.


The four ports of Goole, Grimsby, Hull and Immingham are in prime positions for road, rail and water connectivity.


One of the UK’s largest allocated industrial employment sites is at our Hull port. The Humber International Enterprise Park (HIEP), is a prime site of 453 acres, of which 212 acres is within the Humber Freeport.


It also has potential quayside access via a dedicated road/rail link offering the benefit of access to port facilities. Lying adjacent to the city of Hull’s eastern boundary it is located close to the A1033, pro- viding quick and easy access to the A63 and M62 motorway.


It has outline planning consent for more than 4.25 million sq ft of industrial, manufacturing and logistics development and offers huge potential to support business growth for those port-centric manu- facturers and distributors.


Close to Immingham, the 227.5-acre site known as Stallingborough Interchange is earmarked for commercial port opportunities includ- ing automotive, bulk warehousing, distribution and logistics uses, advanced manufacturing, as well as green energy initiatives.

In a prime strategic location, the designated employment site is one of the largest of the original Enterprise Zones in the area and is key to future proofing the continued growth of ABP’s commercial business on the Humber.


The Port of Immingham is Britain’s most significant trading gateway. Here, the state-of-the-art Humber International Terminal (HIT) han- dles solid fuel destined for power generators and can accommodate vessels carrying cargoes up to 130,000 tonnes. HIT also handles large volumes of biomass, animal feed, road salt and grain. One of Britain’s busiest RoRo ports, Immingham has eight berths handling more than 30 sailings a week to and from Northern Europe and Scandinavia. The port also handles more than 25% of all UK rail freight. (376)


For investors, there are strong opportunities for wider strategic land development focused on port centric logistics and manufac- turing unlocking significant economic growth and jobs.
