AVERY DENNISON LAUNCHES 100% RECYCLED FIBRE PAPERS FOR SUSTAINABLE LABELS RANGE Labelling material expert Avery Dennison has introduced three new white, uncoated papers made from 100% recycled fibres. The papers are said to have a similar look, feel and performance as conventional alternatives and all feature wet strength treatment. The line-up comprises rNaturel Touch Craft, a thick paper with a cotton-like texture for a craft look; rNoble Blanc, a matte paper with a felt marked finish, which is said to be excellent for high volume printing; and rSable Blanc, a smooth, matte paper that Avery Dennison also describes as excellent for high volume printing. ALBÉA PARTNERS WITH EXPACKUSA TO DELIVER MORE SUSTAINABLE TUBES Albéa has partnered with packaging supplier eXpackUSA to help beauty brands increase their sustainable credentials with eco-friendly tubes made from post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic. Based in New Jersey, US, eXpackUSA provides customers with filling and packaging capabilities including tubes, sachets, bottles, jars and more, with a range of sustainable options available for all its product lines. INTERPARFUMS COLLABORATES WITH PRAD ON COACH BOTTLE French glass and aluminium decoration specialist Prad has created the metallisation for the new Coach Platinum bottle for Interparfums. According to Prad, a challenge was to achieve perfect and regular intensity, as the silver metallisation had to maintain a certain transparency. skyline, complete with a miniature Eiffel Tower at its centre. Inside the cardboard buildings, users will discover 25 miniatures of Lancôme’s best selling fragrance, cosmetic and skin care products, including La Vie Est Belle edp, Lash Idôle mascara and Advanced Génifique serum, among others. P&G TO PACK HERBAL ESSENCES IN MOLECULAR-RECYCLED PLASTIC Procter & Gamble has partnered with materials specialist Eastman to use Eastman Renew molecular- recycled plastic in the packaging for its Herbal Essences brand. The hair care label will be the first of P&G’s brands to use the environmentally-friendly material in its primary packaging. Shampoo and conditioner collections now come in packs made from Eastman Renew resins with 50% certified recycled plastic. The new packs follow an August 2021 agreement between P&G and Eastman to collaborate on initiatives to advance the recycling of more materials, encourage recycling behaviour and prevent plastic from going to waste.
