SugaRich Appoints Bill Hamilton as new Procurement Director SugaRich, has appointed Bill Hamilton to the role of Procurement Director for its business. Bill will be responsible for the strategic leadership of resource procurement, recovering surplus foods to repurpose, and liaising with customers from varied sectors of the food manufacturing industry to grow and maintain SugaRich’s standing and market share. Bill says, “I look forward to a fresh challenge in my career as I


embark on my new role with SugaRich. I have every confidence in my experience and expertise to be able to contribute to the continued success of the business. I am delighted to be joining such an effective team, and a business that puts its customers first and is striving to reduce food waste in the UK.” Bill brings more than 20 years of experience with him,


predominantly in the food manufacturing sector, with experience in animal feed as well as feedstock management for the AD industry. He joins SugaRich from Biffa, where he was the Head of


Commercial AD for six years. Previous to that role, Bill held the position of Commercial Director at Nutrafeed for six years and was Head of Sales at SRCL for three years prior to that. Alex Keogh, Managing Director of SugaRich comments, “We


have no doubt that, with Bill’s strong background in sales and resource management, he will be a much valued member of the SugaRich team. Having experienced integrated, specialist resource services in a variety of businesses over his career, he brings a fresh perspective and input to our board, business and sustainability agenda. Alltech Coppens Appoints Ronald Faber as CEO and Global Aquaculture Lead Alltech Coppens is pleased to announce the appointment of Ronald Faber as its CEO and global aquaculture lead. In this role, Faber will lead a global team of aquaculture experts who are experienced in fish nutrition, feed production and technical support. The team will continue to work together on nutrition and feed sciences, including the improvement of aquatic feed nutrition and


sustainability in aquaculture, as they help carry out Alltech’s vision for a Planet of Plenty™. “Alltech has significantly scaled its global aquaculture footprint


in recent years through the acquisition of Coppens International in Europe and Guabi in Latin America,” said Dr. Mark Lyons, president and CEO of Alltech. “As reflected in our Global Feed Survey over the last decade, aquaculture continues to be the fastest growing protein


sector, and there are abundant opportunities for us to provide a greater level of support to producers globally as they seek to develop their operations sustainably. Ronald’s extensive experience in European and Asian aquaculture, complemented by our team of aquaculture specialists throughout the world, will bring together the full strength of our program to the benefit of our customers.” Faber received his master’s degree with a specialization


in aquaculture and fisheries from Wageningen University in the Netherlands. He began his career in the aquaculture and veterinary industries and joined Coppens International in 1998 as an area sales manager for the Mediterranean region. In 2003, he moved to Thailand where he worked as a nutritional


consultant for various fish and shrimp feed companies, serving customers in Thailand, Vietnam, India and Indonesia. He returned to the Netherlands in 2005 and continued his career with Coppens International, which was acquired by Alltech in 2016. Faber will be headquartered at the Alltech Coppens Aqua Centre (ACAC), an Alltech bioscience centre, where world-class research capabilities are applied to product development.


Appointment of Environmental and Sustainability Manager Wynnstay, the agricultural supplies group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Lewis Davies as Environmental and Sustainability Manager, a newly-created role, effective immediately. Lewis will lead the ongoing development


and implementation of Wynnstay’s ESG strategy across the Group. He will also act as a representative for Wynnstay as the Company works with its peers to promote increased sustainability throughout UK agriculture, including as a member of the sustainability committee of the agrisupply industry’s leading trade association, the Agricultural Industries Confederation (AIC). Lewis joined Wynnstay in 2014 and has latterly been involved in


the creation of Wynnstay’s sustainability objectives, which encompass raw materials sourcing, waste management and energy efficiency as primary areas of focus. His experience in sustainability is supported by specialist domain study at Harper Adams University, where he gained a post-graduate certificate in International Agri-Business and Food Chain Managment, with research projects focused on sustainability in UK farming. This appointment is an important step in the further development


of Wynnstay’s ESG programme, which aims to incorporate sustainable principles across all operations. In addition, it supports Wynnstay’s objective of providing farmers with products and services that support the transition to the new environmental priorities set by the UK Agricultural Bill, which came into effect in 2021 following the UK’s departure from the European Union.
