Erik de Graaff joins Van Aarsen International as new Sales Director Erik de Graaff has developed from Salesman to General Manager and Sales Director, with both national and international responsibilities. During his career he has worked in different


industry fields, both national and international, but for the majority of his working years he has been active in the area of solids handling and processing in several industries including pet food, plastics and the chemical industry. During the last decade he has been in the area of pelleting, grinding and conditioning in, amongst


others, the animal feed industry. Erik intends to strengthen the global position of Van Aarsen as


one of the leading companies in feed mill design and construction. By strengthening the agent network, creation of partnerships with customers and further development of the sales team, his aim is to secure the continuous growth of Van Aarsen.


Ian Muirhead appointed Policy Manager for AIC Scotland Ian Muirhead has been appointed as Scottish Policy Manager for the Agricultural Industries Confederation. Mr Muirhead is a fifth-generation farmer who in partnership with his father runs a beef and sheep farm near the village of Arnprior in West Stirlingshire. He gained a degree in agriculture from SAC Auchincruive in 2006 and has been involved in a number of farming organisations including Scottish Association of Young Farmers Clubs.


“We are delighted to have secured Ian’s services for this part-


time role,” said Stephen Kenyon, who chairs AIC Scotland. “Scottish agriculture faces a period of considerable change and Ian’s role will be to liaise between AIC Members and a range of stakeholders including the Scottish NFU and Scottish Government. He will be supported by various members of AIC’s UK team based in Peterborough.” Mr Muirhead takes over from Kevin Mills who has held the post


for many years.


Jamie Brannan elected new NOAH Chair Jamie Brannan has been elected as Chair of NOAH (National Office of Animal Health) at an EGM. Previously Vice Chair, he has stepped up to replace Gaynor Hillier who has changed responsibilities within her company and moved to the US. Jamie joined Zoetis in October 2016 as


the Senior Vice President and Cluster Lead UK, Ireland & Nordics and has been a NOAH Board member since 2016, becoming Vice Chair in 2018. Jamie is a qualified microbiologist and began his career in consultancy laboratories moving into commercial in 1999 working in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries with Shield Medicare, Intra tech healthcare Ecolab and Molnlycke healthcare.


Former NFU President awarded CBE in New Year’s Honours Former NFU President Meurig Raymond has been awarded a CBE in the New Year’s Honours. Meurig served as the President of the NFU from 2014 to 2018, prior to which he served as Vice President (2004- 06) and Deputy President (2006-2014) and he has been involved in the NFU since 1979.


Jan Potijk to step down at ForFarmers General Meeting 2019 Jan Potijk, member of the Executive Board of ForFarmers and COO of ForFarmers Netherlands, has decided not to be eligible for reappointment during the Annual General Meeting of shareholders on 26 April 2019 when his current tenure ends. He informed the Supervisory Board of this decision on 1 November 2018. The Executive Board will consequently consist of the CEO, Yoram Knoop, and the CFO, Arnout Traas after 26 April 2019. ForFarmers has appointed two new members of the Executive


Committee, Pieter Wolleswinkel and David Fousert, both internal promotions. They started in their new positions on 1 January 2019, allowing a smooth transition of responsibilities. Consequently, after April 2019, the Executive Committee will comprise eight members.
