IMMUGUARD combines purified β glucan, a stimulator of the immune system, with bioactive ingredients derived from yeast that produce positive effects on the growth of probiotic bacteria such as Lactobacilli and Bifidobacterium. The inclusion of Mannan- oligosaccharides (MOS) helps to further reduce the risk of disease by binding potentially pathogenic bacteria, preventing their colonisation of the intestinal wall. In addition, Immuguard acts as a substrate for the growth of beneficial bacteria in the hind gut, helping to prevent the establishment of pathogenic colonies. Positive effects of feeding Immuguard have been found in poultry, pigs and calves – particularly during the immunity gap. In a recent UK trial calves fed Immuguard received 55% less medication for respiratory disease than the control group, and showed improved growth rates.
ROBUSTA is a complementary feed material designed to maintain an optimal gut microbiome, and the integrity of the gut mucosa by combining the prebiotic effect of gluconic acid, and the binding and immunoregulatory benefits of MOS. Components which help to reduce the oxidative stress that is common in modern, high performance birds and animals are also included. Together these all lead to improved growth performance.
