Boels opts for Vanguard power
Following positive feedback from its customers on 16hp Vanguard V-Twin powered Barreto 1620B tillers, Netherlands-based Boels Rental is now adding to its fleet the Barreto 30SGB stump grinder, powered by a 31hp V-Twin engine, which will be introduced across its European hire network. Boels’ Director of
Fleet Operations, Guy Cremer, said, “We have used Vanguard V-Twin engines in our fleet for some time now. They have proven to be extremely reliable and durable, delivering
greater productivity standards and ultimately improving end-user satisfaction, which is a key point of differentiation for us.”
Energy order for Trime
Buckinghamshire-based Energy Generator Hire Ltd, which supplies power and lighting equipment, has bought a further 40 X-Eco LED lighting tower sets from Trime UK. This brings the number of these models in its fleet to nearly 100. Martin Page,
the hirer’s Business Development Manager, said, “Throughout the past twelve months these lights have been a huge success with our clients. A number of them are now asking for the X-Eco by name, citing their fuel saving attributes with safe bright lighting.” Energy Generator Hire is a family-owned business serving a
range of markets including construction sites, outside events and TV and film sets.
Volvo duo for Central Plant Hire
Central Plant Hire of Horsham has ordered two 1.8-tonne Volvo EC18E mini excavators, bringing its Volvo fleet to 25 machines comprising 1.5, 3 and 5-tonne models. The two new machines have been supplied with Volvo’s coded key option
for added security. Established in 1988, Central Plant Hire offers operated and self-drive hire of excavators ranging from 3/4 to 14 tonnes, as well as tracked and wheeled site dumpers, covering Surrey and East and West Sussex.
