EXECUTIVE NEWS continued

Garic provides compact welfare solution

Garic has provided site welfare facilities to a contractor undertaking a project in Birmingham city centre involving the demolition of a 10-storey building to make way for a new apartment block. Because the site is restricted, a compact solution was needed,

and Garic has supplied a number of its Combi Cabins which include a canteen area with seating for up to eight people, office space, toilets and drying rooms. The units are designed to be self-contained without requiring connection to water and power supplies. The drying rooms

have a solar-powered, blown air heating system supported by an oil burner for quicker and quieter operation.

Another Award for GAP’s Iain Anderson

Iain Anderson, Joint MD of GAP, is pictured (left) receiving a replica of EHN’s John Jennings Crosshire Award from Editor Alan Guthrie recently in Glasgow. Earlier this year, Iain was

announced as this year’s winner of the Award, which honours an individual who embodies the same passion and commitment to our industry that John Jennings demonstrated as EHN’s former Crosshire columnist. Each year, the previous recipient literally hands over the trophy

to the new Winner at the Executive Hire Show, and we thought it was only right that they also received a replica to keep for posterity. We will be presenting similar trophies to our other previous winners to commemorate their achievement.
