PLANTWORX PREVIEW continued
New Doosan minis
The 2.7-tonne DX27z is one of two zero tail swing mini excavators that are being added to Doosan’s range, the other being the 3.5-tonne DX35z (both pictured). The DX27z, which is available with an optional long arm and a
Operational with inspHire
inspHire will highlight its recently launched Operated Plant Module which is designed to enable companies to assign operators jobs, whilst cross-referencing the licences, competency cards and qualifications they hold. It also offers operators the ability to enter timesheets on a mobile device, making it easy to track how many hours they are each working.
Connect with Leica
Leica Geosystems will highlight the capabilities of its Connected Construction system that has been developed to model stages of a project from design and validation through to construction, verification and maintenance. Visitors will be able to see the MC1 3D machine control software, as well as a variety of other technology to support project workflows from start to finish.
Hybrid efficiency from TCP
TCP (Taylor Construction Plant) will exhibit its range of hydrogen fuel cell/battery hybrid products for the construction, rail and highway industries at the RailWorx area of the exhibition, for rail professionals. Visitors will be able to see the machines in action and discover how they produce zero carbon emissions at the point of delivery, are virtually silent in operation and eliminate risk of fuel spills.
The EcoliteTH200 hydrogen fuel cell lighting tower, pictured,
has been developed in partnership with BOC, and the Ecolite CCTV hydrogen fuel cell is designed to provide cost-effective temporary site security with remote monitoring and on-site recording. TCP will also demonstrate a welfare cabin powered by solar panels
and the ECO GH2 hydrogen DC power generator alongside the LGP 2500 power pack. Together, this equipment duo produces a clean air alternative to a 5kW diesel generator, states the company.

premium cab, will be shown alongside new Stage V-engined versions of the company’s DX62R-3 and DX85R-3 models weighing in at 6 and 8 tonnes respectively. There will be a strong focus on compact products on the stand with the DX10 1-tonne, DX17 1.7-tonne and DX19 1.9-tonne minis also on show.
CPA launches dumper guidance
A new Good Practice Guide on the Safe Use of Dumpers will be available to visitors to the CPA stand. The 96-page document has been produced by the Strategic Forum Plant Safety Group chaired by the CPA. The guidance covers topics such as planning and dumper
selection, supervisory and operator attributes, training requirements, stability, exclusion and segregation, loading, travelling and discharging operations and using a dumper on the public highway. The causes and consequences of accidents are also examined, based on case studies derived from publicly- available safety alerts and those investigated by the Health and Safety Executive. One of
the main messages of the publication is that the use of a dumper should not be the first choice. The correct identification of the most appropriate machine should be the first step followed by effective planning, supervision and the use of competent people.
