Kohler’s engine hybrids
Kohler will exhibit a range of diesel engines of up to 105kW, including the new hybrid K-HEM 1003. This model generates power using a combination of a KDW 1003 18kW diesel engine, designed
to be compliant with Stage V emissions standards without a diesel particulate filter (DPF), and a 48V electric motor that is claimed to deliver 15kW of peak power and 9kW of continuous power. The K-HEM 2504 is another hybrid unit consisting of a KDI
2504TCR 55.4kW diesel Stage V compliant engine that does not require selective catalytic reduction (SCR), again with a 48V motor for 19.5kW peak power and 9kW continuous power.
GAP’s golden year
GAP will show a range of equipment from its eight divisions, from core hire fleet items like cordless power tools to non-mechanical plant and specialist lifting, survey and welfare services. To commemorate the company’s 50th trading year,
the display will include bespoke items of gold-painted plant, including a 1.5-tonne Kubota mini excavator and a 6-tonne Mecalac dumper.
