Plant in Peterborough

Taking place at its new location at the East of England Arena in Peterborough from 11 to 13 June, the biennial Plantworx construction machinery exhibition will have more than 450 exhibitors. We look at some of the new equipment with hire potential being launched.

Altrad Belle to introduce new compact dumper

EHN can exclusively report that Altrad Belle will unveil a new 1-tonne high-tip dumper at Plantworx. Powered by a Yanmar 3-cylinder diesel engine,

the machine has hydrostatic drive with an anti-slip function and incorporates automatic dynamic braking via the transmission.

The machine has been designed and built at Altrad

Belle’s factory in Sheen. We will bring you more details in a future issue.

Portable conveyors from Tufftruk

Tufftruk will launch a new range of portable belt conveyors designed for the hire market. The Tuffbelt Mini and Maxi are available in 3m and 4.5m sizes respectively and incorporate built-in hoppers to minimise waste, as well as two emergency stop buttons for safety. With a quoted belt

the combination of a hydrogen gas fuel cell and a solar power system. This means the unit operates almost silently and emits only pure water vapour. Also on show will be the similar Ecostatic Zero 24 version which is designed for static deployment. In addition, the company plans to display its new Solar Loo 1. This single,

mobile toilet unit is powered by 70W solar panel and has been developed for use in areas without a convenient external power supply.

More minis from Takeuchi

Being shown for the first time in the UK will be Takeuchi’s TB220e battery- powered mini excavator, a product we give more details about in our Bauma Review starting on page 30. Other models on

show will include the TB235-2 (pictured) and TB250-2, as well as the road-towable TB225 mini and the 7-tonne TB370. The last- mentioned model is a new-generation machine with a redesigned automotive styled interior, a colour touch screen display and jog dial controls.
