News Size matters
Time flies when you’re having fun, as the saying goes, and February 2023 and next year’s Executive Hire Show are rapidly approaching. As if the 2022 expo wasn’t already an absolute blockbuster, with over 40 brand new exhibitors, measurably more visitors through the doors and business booming loudly on both days, the 2023 event is off to an even better start. As we went to press 123 stands were already sold – well ahead of
this time last year and definitely in excess of those preceding. Among the largest and most distinct is JCB’s, of course, and the company has now confirmed its space on Stand F40, along the front of the CBS Arena, in some great company and pretty much unmissable. JCB used EHS 2022 to highlight some of its electrified equipment.
With another year of hydrogen development under its belt, we wonder if we might see something of that. It’s bound to be a brilliant showcase, either way. As well as JCB, the latest EHS signups include Nightsearcher
on stand B16, Datatag on K9 and Access Platform Sales on K6, Tigerbite on K30, LIFOS on B42 and Fuel Proof ltd on K22. More EHS news as it breaks, or keep an eye on the rapidly changing floorplan at
www.executivehireshow.co.uk. Lastly, there are now days left before the Executive Hire Glasgow
Roadshow returns to the Marriott Hotel on Argyle Street from 14.00- 19.00pm on October 25th
. As well as the opportunity to hobnob with
the great and good of Scottish hire, we've lined up the very best of plant and tool manufacture and supply - the final exhibitor signing up being SPA Power Machinery. Parking and refreshments are entirely FREE, and tempting show-only deals are an additional benefit. Hit the link for more, and we look forward to seeing you all there on the 25th
.
Speedy potentially
speedier Speedy has continued its long association with Isuzu Truck (UK) Ltd, with the recent introduction of 39 new Isuzu 7.5 tonne rigids. Speedy’s latest order includes rigid models with either
beavertail or half box/half curtain bodies. There are 22 new beavertail trucks and 17 new combination trucks, and these will be operating in various locations across the UK, having been acquired on a five-year deal through contract hire company Prohire. Commenting on the latest fleet additions, Chris Dempsey,
managing director – operational support, Speedy said: “We have been operating Isuzu trucks since 2013 and currently we have 45 in total within the fleet. Payload is critical to our operation and the Isuzus provide us with the perfect solution at this GVW, together with excellent back up support from our local dealer, Warrington Vehicle Centre.” The new Isuzu N75.190 (E) rigids will be covering between
30,000 and 40,000 km per truck over their five-year service in the Speedy fleet, with the beavertail trucks moving plant and equipment and the half box/half curtain models transporting Speedy products between the company’s retail locations.
