‘show It’s difficult to keep calm while carrying on when the Pound is tanking, the cost of living crisis is deepening, mortgages are rising, GDP is declining and the Cabinet is seemingly determined to enact the mission of Monty Python’s ‘Dennis Moore’ (showing my age a bit there). At least the sector remains on a relatively even keel – a bit quieter at this time of year, as usual, although one hirer told me he was worried about tightening margins and a tough winter in prospect. I doubt he is alone in such concerns. Meanwhile, the 2023 Exec Hire show looks like it will surpass this year’s blockbusting expo – in terms of stand bookings, we’re already well ahead of this time last year, more new exhibitors are signing up and remaining space is a vanishing rarity. If that isn’t a sign of rude health and stability, I don’t know what is. Back to this edition, and we


profile an access specialist with a niche in a crowded sector, another which invented one of the world’s first solar-hybrid generators, and the company famed for the ‘Easy Petrol Post Driver’.
