Major order for FGS Plant FGS Plant, has placed its biggest ever order for access platforms,

investing over £2m in a range of LGMG scissor lifts and boom lifts. Access Platform Sales, the UK and Ireland distributor for LGMG,

is delivering the platforms in two tranches, the first in August and September 2022, and the remainder in early 2023. The platforms are to be shared between FGS Plant's fleet, based at its HQ in Aylesford, and its access rental business, Hire Access Platforms, in Poole, Dorset. The scissor lifts that APS is supplying range from the 7.8m

working height ASA0607WE to the 18m working height SR1623D, while boom lifts include the AR14J and T20J. A apir of BoSS PA-lift push around scissor lifts were also part of the order. “When we looked at LGMG, the quality of the platforms was very

good indeed, their specification is excellent and APS can guarantee fast delivery with a deal that made the best commercial sense,” said FGS Managing Director Stuart Willy.

customers Kubota has opened a new European Parts Centre to help strengthen its global parts supply chain network. Located in Thionville in the French region of Moselle, the new

warehouse was built as a dedicated parts distribution hub, primarily to supply dealers and distributors across Europe and the UK. Representing an investment of €15 million, Kubota’s new parts

centre covers a footprint of 20,000sqm and employs around 90 staff. From this gargantuan hub, dealers and distributors can access a vast stock of spare parts for agricultural, groundcare and construction products, and industrial engines. “The development of this extensive parts centre will provide

greater access and availability to further support our existing regional parts supply operation in the UK,” explains Simon Chadbone, Kubota UK’s business development manager for parts. “Having a European Parts Centre will greatly benefit our dealer

and distributor network, by providing a more timely and cost- effective solution for the supply of original parts, which in turn will reduce the impact of downtime for our customers.”
